Catchin Culinary Wreck in “The Dec”
Recently I went to The Dekalb Famrer’s Market in Decatur, GA (Supposedly one of the best in the country) to get some necessities for the kitchen (many posts to come from that trip), and decided to eat at the Cafe inside. For those who have never been, all I can say is – you lose. This shit is bangin’! Imagine a supreme buffet line, with everything made from the ingredients in the market. Peep -
*Curried Lentils

From New Awlins to Duval.
Peace Out to My Mans, Slim Chance.
To the damn. My brother-in-arms, DJ Slim Chance had to dip back down to South Florida (Pembrooke Pines, Stand Up!) – Being that he gave me his drum kit on his way out of town (What a gentleman!) – I took him out to an ATL local establishment (Soon to be big chain) – “The Flying Biscuit” -

Broke in Berlin # 20
As you already know – Lady Da*sey and Batsauce make fabulous music together – like records. Anywho, while in Berlin, my sister and I had the pleasure of attending a Lady Da*sey show at “Cassiopeia” – a really dope venue a few miles walk from the cribbo. Bat and Daze unveiled one of their newest joints, “Day Old Bread.” Dope concept, dope song, and what a great way to perform it. Delicioso – though I could have used a little “Day Old Olive Oil” – heads up, Daze . . .

Day Old Bread - In my pocket - keeps me happy - all day long!

My loaf of bread weighs a ton!

Dillon and Batsauce are – The Baguette Bros. Yes it is kinda corny that we took mad flicks eating sandwiches. Yes the sandwiches were that good. 1.50 Euro = a pretty damn decent deal.

Dillon and Batsauce are The Baguette Brothers. Dummies.

Yo I had the poppy seed bread - my favorite - BONG BONG!

Coffee and sammiches. Coffee and sammiches.

Prost!

The poppy seed! What?!

Essesntially, I’m now officially, The Baguette Boss. Once more, extra special shout to Svei Bakery on Sonnenallee where I at at least one freshly made baguette there everyday. I was ordering in German and all that! BONG! (PS – I generally don’t dig on the cheese – but . . . you know . . . When in Rome . . . go on . . .)

A classic - French Loaf, Tomato, Lettuce, Cuke, dab o' butter, Kase!

Pumpkin Seed Loaf, Lettuce, Tomato, Cuke, Apple, Appa (!)

Really in the zone here . . .

Eatin and Rappin . . . Eatin and Rappin

It’s a good thing that Berlin was starting to warm-up, because after that extremely sub-par “Veggie Burger” – I needed something to make feel good about great food again. So I peeped this gelato spot across the street (it turned into a coffeeshop next-door during the winter) – looked pretty slamming. I had a scoop of pineapple and mango. BONG! BANG! BING! . . . and it was cheap too!

The kid needed a biggidy BOOST!

That's that pineapple mango!

Peep how the sun bounces offa the kid! Good Lord!

So I’m a sucker for a good vegtarian restaurant, as I am . . . well, vegetarian. So apparently one of the dope spots in Berlin to eat at is “Yellow Sunshine.” Local musicians (Thanks, Danah) big this up as “Vegetarian fast food.” Well anyway, it was ok – but I’m not into the veggie burger patties that are like some rubber soy ish – I’m more into actual veggies, lentils, black beans, etc. The fries were good though. But fried food ain’t the lick ya’ll. I was kinda unimpressed . . .

The Sunshine Burger and Pommes Frites

Thinking . . . "This shit is wack"

Daze is swervin on 'em!
